Salt Mill Visit

Have decided to go to Salts Mill tomorrow as the is a David Hockney gallery and as I have been looking at his work for my viewpoints brief I feel it would be worthwhile.

Will report back tomorrow with feedback!!

Harewood House

I had an afternoon trip out to Harewood House this week to get some initial woodland photographs. It is an absolutely stunning area, with beautiful views and buildings. Unfortuately a lot of the grounds were closed as they were getting ready for re-opening, however the groundsman was very friendly and pointed me in the direction of the deer park.

I really recommend this place for a day out as it is stunning and a lovely break from the city!

Final pieces of promotional pack...

Elements for promotional pack =
1. MUG
This simple design is going to be repeated on both sides of the mug, so whether you are right handed or left you will see it.

2. TEABAGS =
Above are the final nets for the 3 teabag cases. Each one shows a different quality to me; hardworking, team player and creative.

3. WORK =
I still ant to show 5 pieces of my work and a little more info about me. As a result I am including a recycled envelope which contents the above pieces of work. I am also going to include a page for my business card.

4. BUSINESS CARDS =
The final design is simple and clean. I did not want something fussy and detracting from the information. I would love the 'say hello', 'emma sunderland' and both logos to be a spot colour, however for the moment I am just going to print onto matte card.

Business card development...

I am so pleased with all the other aspects of my self packaging design, however I cannot get the business card right...

Above are a few examples of my experimentation with my business card. Most recently I have rotated the card 90 as I was finding the space a very big issue - everything seemed so squeezed in.

I am also sticking with using helvetica neue instead of a serifed font. I do not want to appear to ornate.

Teabag mock-ups...

Below are the photographs of my test packaging for the teabags. I am really pleased with the overall feel and look of the pieces. However the are a few changes I would like to make...

The pack is slightly narrow for the teabag to come out very easily. Therefore I am going to add more width to the piece but keep the height.

Need to get rid of the net lines - so you don't see them on the folds and cut lines.

Maybe make the tag slightly smaller?
